Beijing Tailong Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1992 and is a holding company of the Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Institute of Microelectronics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established in 1986. Its predecessor was the 109 Factory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences established in 1958. It was the first unit to develop and produce computer transistors after the founding of New China. After nearly 50 years of development, it has now become a national research institution with complete disciplines and a wide range of research fields. There are 2 key laboratories engaged in cutting-edge basic research, 11 research laboratories engaged in applied technology research, and 3 research centers supported by major industry technologies, covering all major areas of microelectronics research.
